Foxwell NT520 - What’s New?

Foxwell NT520 Pro – This is for those looking a decent car diagnostic tool for his/her own car(s), usually as personal use.


Why did I said NT520 (NT510) is good for personal diagnostic?


  1. NT520 is used for diyer only (not for repair-shops)

usually good for a customer with one or two cars, better with five or less

5 programs at most for a unit (for 5 car brands)


Note that you can get ONLY 5 car brands software authorization with NT510, while you could get ALL software authorization with NT520 and install less than 5 programs on the NT520.


Please  delete the software you’re not using if you want another program. For example, if you have MB, VAG, GM, BMW, Volvo installed on your NT520, but now you need Ford software, you should remove one of programs you’ve installed and then install the Ford. It’s because the SD card storage limit will lead to bad user experience like running speed and also it’s necessary to leave some space for data recording in in diagnostic tests.



  1. Software from Foxwell is cheaper than that from Autel or Launch

Foxwell software authorization: 60 euro per program (with FREE update lifetime)

Autel software update: free for the first two year for English version & free for the first year for other language version, then 1200 usd per year for all programs

Launch software update: free for the first two years, then 499 usd per year for all programs

The problem is: sometimes the key isn’t recognize by EIS. Then need to remove end put again..

I just had 2 be keys that would not work yesterday. I wrote to another key and the car started fine.

tried 3 open spots

what was the symptoms i had a w211 yesterday two keys BE neither worked, kept saying please wait learning key. remote worked fine. what type of key did you use in the end

I in that case you need to write the key to another position.

Or leave in ignition for up to 24hrs
