YH35XX programmer + Simulator correct 35128 odometer: No red dot

F chassis 35128WT eeprom odometer correction best solution: Yanhua YH35XX programmer + Simulator, because it has no risk, no red dot and easy to use. It wins many similar tools i.e Smelecom 35128 emulator (supports a part of 35128WT eeprom) and VVDI Pro (can't work yet).


Prepare: one computer

Features: No risk, no red dot. Easy to use.


  1. Remove the original 35XX EEPROM from the odometer and solder it to the adaptor board.Then clamp the adaptor board with the solder-free clamp. Ensure the direction of the adaptor board and solder-free clamp is correct.

2.Connect the YH35XX programmer to the USB port of the PC, click on "computer" and it will recognize a usb flash drive named 35XX programmer.

3.Click on U disk35XXprogrammer, double-click "BMW_ODO_Standard_edition. exe" to open the software.


4.Wait until it pops up: Programmer connection successful, then run it.



5.Choose the EEPROM model and click on "Read DATA+ID", check whether the mileage that is read out is the same as the actual mileage.


6.Click on "Save Data File", save the original data of original EEPROM to the folder.



7.Hold the handle of the simulator, clamp the Simulator with the solder-free clamp. Pay attention to the direction. Then connect the solder-free clamp to the programmer, connect the programmer to the PC.

8.Choose the EEPROM model, click on "Load Data File", choose the corresponding data of original EEPROM and load it. Check whether the displayed mileage is the same as the mileage displayed in odometer.

9.Once the mileage is confirmed, click on "Write DATA+ID", write the original data into the Simulator.


10.Click "Read Data+ID", read the data written into the Simulator, and check the mileage.


11.After the mileage is confirmed, click on "Mileage modification" and input the mileage you want.

12.After confirming the input mileage is correct, click on "Write DATA+ID" to write the modified data into the Simulator.



13.After the data is written, click on "Read DATA+ID" to check whether the mileage modification is correct.



14.If the displayed mileage is the same as what you want, cut off the handle of the Simulator, and solder the Simulator to the original EEPROM position. Pay attention to the EEPROM direction. Install the odometer back to the car to verify whether the mileage modification is successful.

Click on "Tech tool" icon.


Tick off "Work offline", then click on "OK".

Open "Tech Tool" to enter "Chassis", then click on "Chassis ID", then "Set Programmable", then "OK" (Parameter is stetted for programming).



Click on "Stop", then "Start", tick off "the engine must be switched off" and "The parking brake must be applied".

Set the new chassis ID to B444444, click on "Program".



Use current chassis ID B 444444.



Have new Chassis ID B 444444, Model FH12, Version 2.

Car diagnostic tools and software advice and tips

After years of research and money invested, I would like to share and describe my collection of hardware and software.

  1. Genuine licensed Delphi DS150e Cars and Trucks: pretty much the main tester I use because of simplicity and fast response. Only tool suited for Iveco Daily.2. KTS540 licensed with ESI2.0 (One-time-purchase licence): I use it only on cars Delphi can't diagnose properly. Good on Euro5 onward cars, BMWs.

    3. Launch easydiag 2.0 activated PRO online: Always in my pocket for fast diagnosis, key programming on Ford, module configuration on Mercedes, diagnostic on latest Ford Mustang 5.0 and USA imports, suspension adaption on Range Rovers, Mercedes Sprinter. Not good for module reflash.

    4. Actia Multidiag XS 2G (2nd generation), currently with its base program (latest version v2018 43.51), it is a bit slower and the interface not that friendly like Delphi, but it is special because its passthru compatibility. I also use it via Passthru with:

  • Mercedes-Benz Xentry Passthru 2018.12 (tested and sees all modules on X-klass 2018, works with DAS as well on older cars. The only way to diagnose this car among all my testers)
  • Forscan
  • SDD JLR (v156 current version)
  • Toyota Techstream
  1. OPCOM 2018 (Revision D+): powerful and cheap tool, covers cars until 2018.6. VCDS 18.2: for all VAG cars: encountered a UDS communication problem on a Passat B8 2.0 Bi-TDI

    7. Multiecuscan 3.9R1 with ELM327, mostly for Ducato euro5, but it works flawless on any Fiat, Alfa, even Suzuki SX4 1.9JTD etc. It covers dealer functions.

    8. VAS5054a and VAG CAN PRO: reflashed modules on VAG. VAS5054a can be used with Xentry Passthru.

    Every tool has its capability. For example, I can do full coding on PSA with Launch, I can do coding on Renault/Dacia with Actia, on Passat B8 Bi-TDI i could do function tests on AdBlue only with KTS. Delphi covers pretty much everything.



I would suggest to purchase cheap leads from instead of trying to use pass through. That way you can use any of the many guides available on the internet. Also I believe the seller is selling the leads with software slightly modified to allow very easy installation.

The thing to note - for E series, earlier cars need pins 7+8 joined, while late E series need pins 7+8 separated. I bought my leads long time ago so I have 2 separate leads, however now you can purchase lead with switch to change this. Also you can use INPA with some F series models, but for that need ENET lead and need to modify a setting in a file. Both leads are available very cheap.


  1. Nothing beat the factory equipment. All you ever need is: 
    1). Launch scanner for quick functions
    2). Alldata/prodemand
    3). Factory software! Xentry, Ista, Odis, etc.
