How to install Scania VCI 2 SDP3 v2.27 on Windows 7 32bit

Step 1 - Read read me 2.27.txt to get the installation instruction

Step 6 - Once finished, run x32 folder the “install.exe”

When required, allow install.exe to install driver

Step 8 - Run Scania SDP3 2.27 program

Run SDP3 configuration to setup language, authentication, interface and SDP3 update

Language available: English, German, Spanish, French, Japanese, Dutch, Polish, Portuguese, Swedish, Norwegian, Suomi, Turkish, Italian, Czech, Russian.

Part 2 :about VAG CAN PRO vs VAS 5054A vs VCDS
5054a ODIS is OEM, so it fully supports every VAG model, but it’s slow and you need online connection for being able to do a lot of things.

VCDS is super fast, best to read DTC’s and do basic stuff and some coding, but it doesn’t work well with new MQB platform.

VCP is little bit a mix of those, reads DTC fast, every feature is done offline, and work very well with MQB.

Part 3: VAG CAN PRO VPC 5.5.1 vs VAG-COM VCDS:

VCDS and VAG CAN PRO + K are very close level features (there is also a small resemblance in the software interface of the two).

VCDS is the best known and most used of the two, so you more easily find topics on speaking forums VCDS that VAG CAN PRO + K.

diagnostic Level, VCDS exceeds VAG cAN PRO + K, even if it progresses from version to version.

coding level, some encodings are sometimes not possible with VCDS then they are with VAG CAN PRO + K (RLFS coding, coding ESP, also VIM coding which is a “specialty” of VAG CAN PRO + K).

** Audi A4 8E B6 owner says:

This model has a can-bus (TP1.6), but it is not connected to the diagnostic socket. The car is fully diagnosed on the K-line (VCP required interface + K). Used protocols KWP2000 and KWP1281 it.

** Audi A4 8E, B7 owner says:

This model has a CAN BUS TP2.0, but the diagnostic socket is only connected to the so-called CAN-Antrieb, i.e. Engine, transmission, airbags, ABS, Quattro drive.

In addition, a standard K-line. In other words, VCP fully supports the diagnosis B7 models, but only in the CAN-Antrieb. Other controllers are available through the K-Line and KWP2000 KWP1281 protocols.

if you try autocom,you'll see that the top testers today...multidiag to various problems with drivers,codiffica injectors etc....autocom goes on the cars and trucks


The pass-trhu today works on texa and bosch for sure, the other I don't know, then multidiag has a unique function.

Only the shape and colour of the casing. What you should be looking for is the type of PCB inside, that is where the difference is. If you are buying ask to see pictures if the PCB. The links below show both sides of the single PCB that covers 99% of Cars. Make sure it has the two chips that are marked, they may also be red, maroon or cream in colour.



CAN Clip VS Multidiag Pro VS DDT2000


I have the Can Clip it does all I need it to on my Megane as for diagnosing it will do it as long as you have a PC that includes its software. The main reason I got Clip is it covers all the rovers so the MRS, MGF, I can sort out when the car ever goes wrong and it never let me down.

About Multidiag Pro and Clip, I think the biggest difference is their vehicle coverage. Multidiag Pro is universal (works in a very large car brands), while Clip is for Renault cars. Besides, Multidiag Pro is cheaper than Clip.


The DDT2000 actually does not pass the test. I have got a MAF sensor disconnected and the software is not able to read it. It just states that no errors are present but in fact there is something going on. Then I plugged ELM327 scanner and run its software, there it is the fault present. For now the price is the only good thing, but so is the ELM327 cable and way more easy to use.


Final conclusion:

Renualt CAN CLIP and Multidiag Pro are clearly above DDT2000 and both can do what DDT does. CAN Clip works good with Renault cars, Multidiag Pro supports other car brands. As a DIY-er, I would choose Renault without doubt. But, this rank may change if you own a car that works fully or almost fully in KWP protocol, cars before 2004 or so.
