(fixed) FNR Key Prog 4-in-1 run-time error 8002 invalid port number

Symptom:
Error message “run-time error 8002invalid port number” pops up when installing FNR Key Prog 4-in-1 software for Ford, Renault and Nissan to program new keys.

Solution by obdexpress engineers:
First, try on Windows XP system:
http://www.chinaautodiag.com/download/ghost-windows-xp-professional-sp3-free-download.zip
Then, setup the usb com port (com4) to com12

How to install FNR Key Prog 4-in-1 Key Prog for Nissan Ford Renault?
1.Open the “ford install” folder,install the application “fordupdate1.1.1″

2.Copy the files in the folder “ford crack” to the directory of “TrueCode”.

3.Copy “FORD CODE CALCULATOR” and “Renault nissan” to the directory of “TrueCode”.
4.Copy the file “hid.dll” from folder “et199-nissan-hid”.

5.Connect the dongle with computer,then install the driver from CD.

Here are some tips of “reading error” for you when reading EDC17C41 DDE8 520d F10 ecu with Ktag clone, offered by experienced users.

Tip 1 - replace oscilator near the nxp processor on ktag board

Tip 2 - need boot and 2 rainbow cable yellow and orange and you have placed the yellow and orange on the wrong spot

Kess v2 can’t read and write this type of ECU (EDC17C41), ECUs on the same car model in different areas are sometimes encrypted in different ways, and therefore the tool cannot always work on the same car model.

FGtech Galletto 4 vs CMD flasher vs Alientech Ktag Kess v2 vs MagPro

I was playing around with my MB Star C4 and Xentry 2016 developer mode

and I might have found a alternative to delete the ABC warning lights without a module.

Tested on 2003 Mercedes-Benz CL600 Base Coupe 215.376 5.5L V12

FOR THOSE WHO WANT TO CONVERT TO COIL-OVER and remove ABC suspension forever

So, here is what I found, someone can test it but you have to have DAS Xentry with developer mode.

I can’t test it as I already have the module installed and no time right now

Invested on Chinese ECU programmers, FGtech Galletto 4, CMD flasher v1251, clone Alientech (Ktag and Kess v2), MagPro x17... I read a lot, with each opinion. Over all that I read is old (<2011).

- CMD flasher v1251: The Must, one diagnostic interface, for reading and writing flash memory on the CAN line (not K-line) of computers with motor MED9.1, MED9.5, EDC16U3x/CP, EDC16CP31, EDC16CP36, EDC16C3 and EDC16C9 fuel injection. you need this tool only for new vag ecus, cause they are obd, even tprot

- Alientech: Great tool, support is correct , but as soon as you want to touch anything other than car, it's very expensive too (full 20 000 euros) + XXXX euro subscription.

Chinese KTAG and Kess v2 runs the same software as Alientech
Ktag supports protocols: BDM MOTOROLA MPC5xx
Kess v2 supports Line, CAN, EDC17 and MED17 and Ford J1850... and Kess v2 truck version is available
they both work good, same as original and without tokens limitation, perfect with checksum, compared with FGTech
